Mrs. Hubbard

HubbardNicole Hubbard is originally from Chico, CA. She attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where she earned her B.S. in Industrial Engineering. She then attended the University of Southern California and earned her Master of Arts in Teaching, with a focus on Secondary Mathematics. Ms. Nicole moved to San Diego in 2007 to begin her career in teaching at High Tech High International, and spent 10 years developing her passion for project based learning within the High Tech High organization.

In 2018, Ms. Nicole was thrilled to join the middle school team at Golden Hill K-8. Here at Golden Hill, Ms. Nicole teaches 8th grade math and science. She loves working with students and supporting them in their growth as mathematicians, scientists, and problem solvers. She always wants her students to know how much she loves them and wants to support them in their learning journey, even when it gets challenging..

In her free time, Ms. Nicole loves to go camping or hiking with her family and two children, run, read, or cook. You can usually get Ms. Nicole to talk endlessly about her hometown of Chico, about Cal Poly, SLO, about traveling the world, about dogs or pets, and of course - about math, engineering, science, and learning. She is an avid traveler who has ventured on many international trips with and without her students, and also lived and taught in Thailand for one year.
